What is a Webcast?

The webcast option is a way for you to participate in this amazing event without having to attend in person.

Who would benefit webcast attendance?

  • Rural and remote delegates who don’t have time to take away from their busy practices.
  • Interstate delegates who want to attend in the most time-effective and cost-effective way – no flights to pay for!
  • Delegates who would like to attend from the comfort of their own home or workplace.
  • Delegates who don’t enjoy the excitement of net-working, trade-shows, etc. and prefer a quieter, no-fuss event.

Do you still qualify for CPD points?

YES YES YES!!! Delegates who attend the webcast qualify for CPD points with the following professional bodies:

RACGP – Royal Australian College of General Practitioners
ACRRM – Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine
ACN – Australian College of Nursing
IBLCE – International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners

Accreditation has been confirmed with all of these professional organisations with equal points approved for both in-person and web-cast attendance.

Note: We have a responsibility to ensure those participants claiming CPD points were actually in attendance.  Therefore, you will be given relevant multiple-choice questions to answer throughout the event so we know you were actually watching.  Don’t worry, you won’t “fail” but we just need to know you didn’t log on and then head out for the day J

What are the technical requirements?

You simply need access to a computer or mobile device with an internet connection!  It really is as simple as that.

What if I’m having trouble with anything during the webcast?

The webcast is being run by a company with extensive experience in this type of event, particularly medical conferences.  There is a toll-free phone number to call with excellent support to talk you through any problems you may be having. The webcast is incredibly easy to use so there are rarely any issues, but, if there are, rest-assured you will be provided with complete support.

Is it interactive? Can I ask questions?

YES! You have the ability to be able to type questions in the question bar as you think of them.  At the end of the lecture your question may then be answered during the allocated time period.  We will ensure a selection of questions are taken from the live audience as well as the virtual audience.  You have the added advantage of being involved in an interactive discussion with other online delegates during breaks.

Can I access the lectures again after the event?

Yes! You will have access to the conference for many months after the event date.  This means you don’t need to take notes or try to remember everything you experience on the day.  The slides, video, everything you see on the day will be available to you after the event.

So what’s the catch?

There is no catch at all.  This is truly the best way to attend a conference without actually “attending” a conference! You get all the benefits, bar the delicious food, and you save money on flights, accommodation, not to mention time away from your practice and your family.

To register just fill out the online registration and select “Webinar” for the mode of attendance field. https://www.reflux.org.au/infant-gord-complications-2015/
